International Medical Graduates (IMGs) can now obtain licensure in the U.S, specifically in Florida, with an emphasis on bypassing traditional residency requirements.

Key points regarding bypassing Residency include:

Exemptions from the residency requirement
Florida and states like Tennessee now allow IMGs to skip standard residency if they meet conditions: holding a valid license from a foreign country with 4+ years of practice and verified ECFMG credentials

Graduate Assistant Physician (GAP) Licenses
This temporary license (up to 2 years, renewable for 1 year) allows IMGs who haven't matched into a U.S. residency to work under direct supervision of a fully Licensed Physician.

Alternative Pathway for Licensure

IMGs can get Florida licensure without U.S. residency if they’ve practiced medicine for four years abroad, with training deemed equivalent by the Florida Board of Medicine.

What will be the hiring process?
Student is invited to interview at a variety of locations, which can be clinics or hospitals. The Florida team will guide you through the Visa process and help you get set up once accepted into the program.
What if I don't get placed?
No refunds on the mentorship package after enrollment.
Which location will I be placed?
There are over 600 eligible hospitals/clinics in Florida. You may have the opportunity to interview at any that may be a good fit for you. 
If I am from a country that is not on the list but have an active license in eligible countries, am I eligible?
No, you must have citizenship in one of the eligible countries listed.
What if we pay and later find out that we are not eligible?
First, you will fill out the Google form, and we will get back to you if you are found eligible. Payment should only be made after receiving confirmation of eligibility.
How many sessions will be there/ what will be the duration of the course?/ Who will prepare them for interviews?
4 hour package - 1 hour mentorship, 1 hour CV review, 2 1 hour mock interviews. You will be assigned a US physician mentor in your field of interest.
