Frequently Asked Question

If I enroll in the recorded package, how many total hours will I get to watch?
Ans: Each of the 12 recorded sessions is about 1-1.5 hours long. So total access will be about 12-18 total hours of recorded lecture.
How many hours/week should I be prepared to commit to this research project?
Recorded course: In addition to the 1-1.5 hour recorded lecture, expect to spend around 2-3 hours/week of your own time, so total around 3-4 hours/week
Live course: In addition to the live 1.5-2 hour weekly lecture, expect to spend around 2-3 hours/week of your own time, so total around 4-5 hours/week
What happens after enrollment?
  • After full payment for the live course, you will receive an onboarding email from the MD Research Team.
  • This email will have all instructions and the WhatsApp group link for your batch.
  • Join the WhatsApp group immediately, as the start date and further updates are shared there.
  • The Induction Session is usually held around the 3rd Saturday/Sunday of the month.
  • After that, you will join the Zoom sessions and continue the course.
For the Recorded Course:
  • You will receive an email with the WhatsApp group link and Graphy login instructions.
  • After logging into Graphy, you will get all 12 recorded lectures at once.
  • There is no induction session for the recorded course; you will study on your own as instructed.
Will I be added to 2 WhatsApp groups? One for manuscript and one for abstract? Or same group for both?
All discussion will be in the same WhatsApp group for each month cohort.
How many co-authors on 1 paper?
The number of authors/co-authors depends on the size of the batch, but it will not be more than 15 per paper.
What happens if I miss a lecture?
You will be provided the recorded lecture and any doubts will be answered in the next upcoming class. Live attendance and participation is encouraged as much as possible.
Where do we publish?
We always submit to top-tier university indexed journals and conferences relevant to the topic. Check the website for previous submission examples.
How long does it take to publish?
Publication times can vary depending on the journal or conference submitted to, but in general expect around 2-6 months for acceptance. 
How to put this experience on my CV/talk about it in interviews?
We will discuss this during the course to help you feel confident on your application, and going into interviews. You are always encouraged to highlight what you learned during the course.
How is the order of names decided?
The names are arranged in alphabetical order.
Is this research remote or in person?
This course is 100% remote. You can join from anywhere in the world. Please note that we try to accommodate all time zones as much as possible, but live classes will generally be on weekend US times.

Do I need to have prior research experience?
No. This research will train you from basic to advance.
Can I choose my topic?
No. Since you will join a batch, we select the topic(s) based on current and relevant subject matter. You will join the ongoing batch and topic as assigned. Note, most topics will be internal medicine or cardiology related.
Is the manuscript and abstract in the same batch going to be the same topic or different?
It depends. Sometimes it can be the same topic, sometimes it can be different topics.
Can I get a discount for joining multiple courses or joining with a group?
No discounts offered at this time. Please stay tuned for seasonal promotions/discounts.
Why does this cost so much more than your other courses?
You will get step-by-step guidance to help you succeed in your research and in your residency journey. Along with this, you will receive a strong Research Letter of Recommendation on a university letterhead. You will also complete 2 publications, which you can add to your CV to make you stand out.
Publishing research in top PubMed-indexed journals can be expensive, but the publication cost is already included in the program price, so you do not have to pay anything extra.
