Residency Interviews

Don't Fall at the Last Hurdle!

Picture
Residency interviews can be one of the most critical aspect of your USMLE match journey. According to the NRMP Program Directors survey, more than 96% of the Program Directors cite ‘Interaction with faculty during the interview’ as the most important factor in ranking the applicants. Other top factors which determine the ranking include interpersonal skills (95%), interaction with house staff and feedback from residents, as part of your interview process.

However, the same survey also reveals that only 6.7% of the applicants (Internal Medicine) of the average 2,200 that apply to a program are ranked by the program.
Without a doubt interview performance can be the difference between your coveted residency spot or an unsuccessful season.
So, don’t fall at the last hurdle!
