Frequently Asked Questions

​What is the difference between Live, On Demand, and Mocks?
​ Live Interactive Classes include 14 online classes where you join in a group setting. You get to practice answering questions, get feedback and give feedback to other students as well. Each class goes over different questions. You will have access to the recordings as well. The On Demand Recorded Plan includes access to only the recordings of these same classes so you can practice on your own time. Mock Interviews are 1on1 with a physician. They are about 45 minutes long and include live and written feedback
​What is the difference between Basic questions, Advanced questions, Medical questions, and Behavioral questions?
You can see can see all question banks here. In short, basic questions are common interview questions to practice and prepare for, advanced questions include the actual practice sessions on many questions, medical questions are medical specific scenarios and how to handle, behavioral questions are scenario based as well. ​Are the classes one on one or in group? What is the group size for classes?
IV prep classes are in a group so that you can hear the other students and share feedback as well. The group size is limited to 20 participants.
Can I purchase just mock interviews?
Yes, you can purchase 2 mock interviews for $500. Or 1 for $300. Or you can do PD mocks for $750. Click here to book the mock interview.
Can I add more mock interviews?
Yes you can add 1 more mock interviews depending on availability. 1 mock is $300, 2 is $500, and PD mocks are $750.
What is a mock interview?
One on one practice interview with our panel physicians. It will simulate the style and questions of an actual residency program interview. Students are taught how to frame the answers in their own words instead of memorizing. After the interview the physician will give a critique review of interview performance including specific advice on how to improve. They will give feedback on responses and quality of overall interview style and delivery. This will help the student to assess their strengths and identify potential areas of improvement.
Are questions specific to my profile/specialty?
The question bank is pulled from common questions asked in most interviews. However, you do get to practice answering based on your specific profile. In addition, you will get complimentary access to our IV Insights which includes specific questions/insights from your program.
How are mock interviews scheduled?
We have panelists that you can choose from. You can choose your interviewer and select a time based on their availability. We will update available times weekly via Calendly.
