Virginia- Job Placement Without Residency

Starting April 2024, Virginia will offer provisional licensure for IMGs who have practiced medicine for at least five years in their home country and meet additional requirements such as passing USMLE Step 1 and 2.

Requirements

  • At least five years of foreign medical practice
  • ECFMG certification
  • Pass USMLE Step 1 and Step 2
  • Supervision: Required in underserved areas for 2 years
